Over 80 Karate-Ka attended in order to hone their Kata and Kumite Skills in preparation for the tournament. A great time was had by everyone in attendance including the parents and family members. To top the day off Head Sensei, Phil McElroy, made a special Sho-Dan Promotion to his son, Chris McElroy. It was a great experience for the younger Karate-Ka to see this type of promotion as indeed another generation of McElroy moves into the Black Belt ranks.
