On October 15th Art Palmer from Art Palmer's school of Isshinryu Karate (in Crossville, Tennessee) promoted two of his students to Black Belt. From Left to Right, Johnny Stowers and Charlie Threet.
"Please remember this is not about me, but everyone who helped me reach this goal", said Johnny Stowers.
Charlie Threet added "In 1993 I achieved brown belt but hurt myself and was in and out for personal reasons. In 2007 I started back training with Art full time. Karate is really a great thing, it has helped me through my life struggles. If I didn't have it I wouldn't be where I am now. It's a high honor to achieve black belt under Art, who teaches karate for the right reason, tradition instead of money. Everyone knows the high quality of his cabinets, the quality of earning black belt under him is even greater."
