In keeping with the IIKA’s policies for promotion to Roku-Dan by the IIKA Board of Directors, all instructors who have a candidate for Roku-Dan testing need to submit the candidate’s name, along with information regarding their years in Isshin-ryu, age, promotion dates, and a brief narrative supporting your decision to promote, to Mr. Burris or Mr. True before the next IIKA Board Meeting – April 4, 2009.
If you have questions regarding whether or not a potential candidate is eligible for testing, based on the IIKA’s new promotion guidelines, please refer to the “Rank Requirements” section of the IIKA website: www.iika.com. Upon review by the Executive Board of the IIKA, candidates who meet the association’s promotion guidelines will be invited to test on August 22, 2009.
