Happy New Year Ladies of Isshin-ryu!
Our Ladies of Isshin-ryu annual workout is scheduled for Saturday, January 17, 2009 in Athens, TN. Stephanie Huskey will host the workout again this year. We are excited because she has a new dojo at a new location in Athens. The dojo is located at 509 W. Madison Avenue. Just Google “Karate Academy” for a map or make contact by e-mail at webmaster@kakarate.com. The dojo phone number is 423-453-4575. This year Julie Gabbard, Stephanie Huskey, Theresa Barnett and I will be teaching some great Isshin-ryu techniques and sharing personal discoveries as to "what works" in kata, kumite, and self-defense. Let's come together and share our heritage..... Isshin-ryu Karate. Plan to work hard during our time together and if possible continue the day with a late lunch at the local Gondolier. We hope to see you on Saturday, January 17, 2009. Let's bring in this year of karate working together to better our skills as we continue to develop sister-hood in Isshin-ryu Karate.
